Brian Dewan's "Words of Wisdom"

I'm a huge fan of folk musician-inventor-carpenter-slideshow presenter Brian Dewan, but he hasn't put out an album since 2001.

So imagine my joy when I saw he just released a new collection of tunes a few weeks ago. And imagine my further joy when Amazon described the disc thusly:

Words of Wisdom is a collection of North American songs written between 1690 and 1950. Some of the authors are known, most of them not. The songs espouse varying perspectives, by turns humorous, frank, sentimental and stoic. This album is the first volume of the Humanitarium Series: recordings of musical artifacts drawn from folk material, parlor music, ditties, chants, jingles, historic popular song, and music for liturgical and institutional use.

Yeah, my Amazon package should get here tomorrow.

Read a review on Allmusic, or pick up the disc on Amazon. You're probably not going to find this at Strawberries.
